WORKOUT OR HEAD FOR THE HILLS?

Sometimes I face the great life dilemma…

“I should go to the gym and get the workout done.”
OR
“I could head for the hills and top up my mental fitness with a dose of greencare 🌿.”

(For me, greencare = self-care surrounded by greenery, fresh air, and a bit of wilderness magic.)

But what if…

What if I don’t have to choose?

Green Exercise: The Best of Physical and Mental Fitness

What if I can have my cake and eat it too?
(And yes — this particular adventure day was literally fuelled by cake. Zero regrets. 🍰)

Here’s my “glass-half-full-and-then-fill-it-up” approach to life:

👉 Take the gym into nature.

Squats by the loch.
Lunges on the hillside.
Breathwork in the woods.
Resetting my nervous system between sets.

Physical fitness + mental fitness = double win.
Fresh air + elevated heart rate = tank topped up.
Adventure + intention = this is how I choose to do life.

Outdoor workouts aren’t just about burning calories — they’re about restoring energy, regulating stress, and reconnecting with something bigger than the four walls of a gym.

Nature Therapy and Nervous System Reset

There’s something powerful about combining movement with nature therapy.

When you exercise outdoors, you’re not just training your muscles — you’re calming your nervous system, boosting your mood, and increasing mental clarity at the same time.

You’ll find me by the loch, on a hillside, or tucked between the trees — moving my body and clearing my mind in one intentional practice.

Because being adventurous isn’t about extreme challenges…

It’s about choosing the version of life that makes you feel most alive.

How to Add More Adventure to Your Fitness Routine

Take Your Workout Outside This Week

🌿 Where could you take your workout outdoors this week?

A local park?
A woodland trail?
A beach at sunrise?
A hill with a view?

And if the gym isn’t your thing — what’s one small way you could top up your adventurous spirit in the open air?

A mindful walk.
Five minutes of breathwork outside.
Coffee in the garden instead of at the kitchen table.

Small shifts. Big impact.
